For Schools
Teach a generation that failure is information, not shame.
The fear of getting it wrong is the single biggest thing standing between your students and their best ideas. The Failure School gives them a healthier, braver relationship with failure, and certifies your own teachers to keep it going.
Sound familiar?
Every teacher has seen this.
- “My best students won't raise a hand unless they're certain.”
- “They'd rather not try than get it wrong.”
- “One bad grade and they decide they're just not a maths person.”
- “They ask ‘will this be on the test?’ before they ask ‘why?’”
That isn't a motivation problem. It's fear of being wrong, and school is where it's learned.
Why it matters
The mindset we teach at school shapes everything that comes after.
We reward students for being right and quietly teach them to fear being wrong. But every worthwhile thing, every idea, invention, and act of courage, starts with the willingness to get it wrong first. In cultures where losing face cuts especially deep, that fear runs even deeper. The Failure School helps young people treat failure as information, not a verdict, so they keep creating, connecting, and trying things that matter.
What it looks like in your school
Run with your students. Owned by your teachers.
Learning by doing
High-energy, hands-on sessions where students try, fail, recover, and discover that a bad idea is part of doing anything that matters. No lectures, no exams.
Certified Failure Coaches →
We train and certify your own teachers to run The Failure School themselves, so it lives in your school long after we leave, and travels to every classroom.
Inside your SEL time
It sits inside the wellbeing, resilience, and social-emotional-learning time you already run. Additive, not another subject to squeeze in.
We're building this with our first school and foundation partners right now. If that sounds like you, we'd love to shape it together.
How to get started
Three steps to bring it to your school.
Start a conversation
Tell us about your school, your students, and what you're hoping to change. We'll talk through what a good first step looks like for you.
Run a pilot with one class
We run a session with a single class or year group, with a simple before-and-after so you can see the shift in mindset for yourself.
Certify your teachers and scale
Once you've seen it work, we certify your teachers as Failure Coaches so it spreads across classrooms and keeps running on its own.
Questions schools ask
Is this extra work for our teachers?
No. It fits inside the wellbeing and SEL time you already run, and we do the heavy lifting at the start. Certification is designed to make it easier for teachers over time, not harder.
What age group is it for?
We adapt the sessions by age band. Talk to us about your students and we'll shape the pilot around them.
Do students get certified too?
Every student who takes part leaves a Certified Failure, a badge of honour for showing up and failing on purpose. The deeper facilitator certification is for your teachers.
